About Kelly Tracy:

In July 2007, I was appointed as the Madison County Board Member for District 4. Dr. Robert Daiber who had previously held that position for over five years nominated me after he accepted the position of Regional Superintendent of Schools. I had always aspired to hold a political office to serve my fellow citizens, and I was very excited to accept the nomination. Dr. Daiber is also endorcing me as a candidate in the upcoming election.

As you may know, I am very proud to be born and raised in Marine, IL. I am very active in our community with such activities as coordinating the Marine Lights in the Park, volunteering at the Marine Homecoming, and participating in the local chapter of Relay for Life. I have also been involved in many other local events.

As a business owner, and someone who has been active in my community, I believe I have a good understanding of the diverse needs of the people in Madison County and will work on their behalf.

As a current Board Member, I believe in improving our schools and infrastructure and supporting our local businesses. I have made myself available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to the people of Madison County. When a neighbor had questions regarding her property tax assessment, I had her come in to my office and I explained, line by line, which amounts were County taxes and which where state taxes. I then gave her specific contact information to voice her concerns regarding the state taxes. When a neighbor had concerns of a new development near her property, I visited her and spoke with her directly about the plans so that she knew what to expect. It is this type of service that I will continue to provide as a Member of the County Board.

As you can see, I am very dedicated and excited about the opportunity to serve the people of District 4 on the Madison County Board. But, in order to continue, I must conduct a very aggressive campaign. My opponent in the primary election this February is well known in the community. But I believe the voters of District 4 deserve someone strongly committed to working towards the benefit of the entire district. This is why I am the best person to serve the people of this district.

If I can ever be of any help to you please feel free to call me personally on my cell phone: 618.520.8919.

Thanks in advance for your encouragement. I am very grateful for your friendship and support!

DUNSTAN APPOINTS MARINE RESIDENT TO

MADISON COUNTY BOARD

Tracy To Fill Vacancy Created When Daiber
Appointed Regional Superintendent of Schools

EDWARDSVILLE, July 18, 2007 – Madison County Board Chairman Alan J. Dunstan has announced he will appoint Marine resident Kelly Tracy as the representative of the 4th District to the Madison County Board, filling the vacancy created by the resignation of Dr. Robert Daiber.

Tracy’s appointment was unanimously approved by the Madison County Board. The appointment runs to December, 2008.

Daiber resigned from the county board in May following his being named Madison County Regional Superintendent of Schools.
In announcing the appointment of Tracy, Dunstan cited her record of volunteerism in the Marine area. “Kelly (Tracy) went door-to-door in support of a referendum for the Triad School District, she coordinates many of the holiday activities in her hometown, and has been very active working as a volunteer at the Marine Elementary School,” Dunstan said.

“Kelly (Tracy) has demonstrated a commitment to the betterment of her community through her ownership of a business and her record of volunteerism. As a member of the Madison County Board, she will be in position to do even more for the people of 4th District,” Dunstan added.

Tracy, 28, is the owner and president of Kelly Tracy Advertising and Design. Previously, she was a member of the marketing and creative team at Tate Entertainment Group in St. Louis.

A 1996 graduate of Triad High School, Tracy earned a bachelor of arts degree in mass communications and a minor in psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

“I look forward to working for the people of the 4th District, ensuring they will continue to have effective representation on the Madison County Board,” Tracy said. “As a business owner, as someone who has been active in my community and as the daughter and niece of two men who were very active in Ironworkers Local #392, I believe I have a good understanding of the diverse needs of the people in Madison County and will work on their behalf.”

“I am honored that Chairman Dunstan believed I would be a good representative for the people from my district,” Tracy added. “Bob Daiber was a great representative on the county board for our area, and I hope to continue that high level of commitment and service that Bob (Daiber) set.”
